Animal
Disaster Relief
Disasters -- whether manmade or natural -- can strike
any time and place, wreaking equal devastation to humans and animals
alike. In contrast, a community ravaged by catastrophe must focus
their emergency and rescue services on assuring human safety, without
equal attention to the animals. Through Red Star Emergency Services,
American Humane offers disaster assistance, provides preparedness
training and veterinary care, and maintains a network of volunteer
National Responders trained to rescue animals from all types of
dangerous situations. |
